Fresco painting, commonly called affresco, is the most labor-intensive artistic technique, although the materials are very simple: sand, lime, water, colored earth. The technical process is favored by a series of chemical reactions between the lime and the surrounding air and which allow the colors to penetrate inside until they become insoluble.
