Handcrafted in Tamgroute, Tamgroute is a small town in southern Morocco near the Sahara (its name means 'last place before the desert'). The distinctive green glaze on Tamegroute pottery is crafted using locally sourced copper oxide found in the region. The process entails applying a glaze made from this copper oxide onto the ceramic vessel, followed by firing it in a kiln.
